Every case in Counter-Strike 2

Every case in Counter-Strike 2

Many FPS games may have come out since the release of Counter-Strike, but Valve’s first-person shooter is still considered one of the most complete gaming experiences around. One of the biggest reasons for Counter-Strike’s relevance is its striving economy. While most players have to spend money to get their hands on their favorite skins, some lucky individuals get them just by playing the game.

We are, of course, talking about the many cases that are available in Counter-Strike 2. Since the game is an unofficial continuation of CS:GO, all of the cases that were present in that game are also in the sequel. Since things can get a little hectic thanks to this, we figured we’d go through every single case players can or could have gotten their hands on in CS2.

So, without further ado, here is every case in Counter-Strike 2 history. If you’re someone who doesn’t really care about CS2’s economy and instead wants to climb the ranks then we have you covered. Just hire a professional CS2 booster from Eloking and watch your ranks soar. You can even use the code “BoostToday” to start saving with a 20% discount on us.

A small overview of cases in Counter-Strike 2

Just like Counter-Strike 2’s predecessor, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, the new title has a case-opening feature that allows fans to unlock various cosmetics like weapon skins, knives, guns, and more. While these items inside cases have different rarities, cases also have different rarities, with some being less common than others.

Knowing what cases to get can help CS2 collectors understand what types of skins and items they should get for their inventory. Some people collect rare cases that don’t drop anymore, whereas others open new cases and hunt for popular skins for later. However, the bottom line is that the primary purpose of cases is to open them to maybe get something good from inside.

With that being said, that doesn’t mean opening cases is the only thing players do. On the contrary, some players actually prefer hoarding as many cases as they can and then selling them off to the highest bidder. On the other hand, some also like to do mass opening streams, whether that be in front of a large audience or just some friends.

The rarer a case is the better. Not only do rarer cases go for a higher price, but they also have a higher possibility of having something very good inside. Naturally, the better the item or skin inside the more players can expect to get by selling it.

Discontinued cases

Some cases don’t drop anymore, which the community calls discontinued cases. Over time, these cases get more valuable as their amount decreases. Here are some of the most well-known discontinued cases and their estimated prices:

Prime cases

Only players with Prime Status in Counter-Strike can get Prime cases, which have skins with high demand and are always one of the headlining items of a new operation. Here’s a list of cases that are part of the Prime collection:

Armory cases

Armory cases are the latest type of cases in Counter-Strike, introduced in 2024 as part of the Armory update. Unlike other cases, these require an Armory Pass and a key to open. Fans speculate that more Armory cases will be released, featuring exclusive content that could make them highly valuable for collectors and investors. Currently, the only Armory case available is the Gallery Case.

Rare cases

As the name suggests, rare cases include some of the hardest-to-find cases in the game. Similar to Prime cases, these can drop after finishing matches, but the chances of getting them are low. Many of these cases are years old, so some uncommon ones sell for a higher price. Here’s a list of every rare case in Counter-Strike:

FAQ

What’s the most expensive case in Counter-Strike 2?

The most expensive case in Counter-Strike 2 is the ESL One Cologne 2014 Cobblestone Souvenir Package. These cases cost around $1300 because of two reasons. Firstly, very few are in the market, and they don't drop anymore, so they are about to go extinct. Secondly, it has the AWP Dragon Lore, the most iconic and expensive Counter-Strike ever, costing over $400,000.

The title for the most expensive case may go to some other case in the near future. Remember, new cases are constantly coming out and old ones are constantly getting discontinued, so some see cases as investments.

How to get rare or discontinued cases in Counter-Strike 2?

Players can get rare cases from weekly drops, although the chances of that are low. Another way to get rare cases, and the only way to get discontinued cases is by purchasing them through a marketplace, whether it's the one on Steam or a third party.

However, it’s important to note that not every marketplace is a good one. While the Steam marketplace is rather safe thanks to Valve’s protective services, some third-party websites are extremely unsafe. Therefore, it’s always a good idea to ensure you buy or sell cases from a trusted source.
